I work as an art therapist in a counseling environment to assist clients with their exploration of feelings, thoughts, behaviors, and experiences. The creative process greatly facilitates the discovery of hidden (subconscious) ideas and feelings. Once these have been presented in the artwork, the therapeutic process enables change, insight, self-awareness, and improved relationships. In private practice I work one with children, adolescents, and adults, dealing with a range of issues including loss and grief, depression, trauma, addiction, stress, and cancer diagnosis.
