Em Hoggett is a British actress and musician based in Los Angeles. She is a graduate of the prestigious American Academy of Dramatic Arts NYC.

A trained classical pianist since the age of 4, Em holds ATCL (Associate Diploma) and LTCL (Licentiate Diploma) diplomas in Piano Performance.

Em attended a performing arts high school, training in theatre, music and dance for three years, where her love of songwriting began. To further hone her music skills, she attended the Purcell School of Music in England for two years, where she trained as a jazz singer, led a soul/funk band and studied music technology and producing. During this time, Em attended Shakespeare Intensives with the National Youth Theatre of Britain amongst other theatre courses.

Awarded a scholarship to attend Berklee College of Music, Boston, for jazz singing and songwriting, Em decided to pursue her passion for acting and moved to New York in 2015 to attend the American Academy of Dramatic Arts.

Recent stage roles include Petruchio in an all-female The Taming of the Shrew, and Cissy Franks in Simon Stephens’ Punk Rock, directed by Lisa Milinazzo and George Heslin respectively. In London, Em originated the role of Valerie in the new musical Hopscotch, supported by the Toby Davies Fund, in 2016.

In music, Em has been fortunate to perform alongside renowned concert pianist Lang Lang at the Royal Festival Hall, London, at the Fazioli Concert Hall, Italy, and at other notable venues in the UK.
