Skills Summary:Since 1998, Rob has coached people in dialect work and accent reduction. He currently teaches at The American Academy of Dramatic Arts in the heart of Hollywood, where he teaches accent reduction, dialects, and voice and speech. There, he has coached hundreds of actors and over 50 productions. From Shakespeare to Mamet, Rob has coached more than 25 dialects, from British to Yiddish to West African. He has also provided coaching for film and television, such as British coaching for Omid Abtahi in the Showtime series, Sleeper Cell. He was asked to provide dialect coaching for the new Orbit Gum spokesperson. Rob has also worked with New Zealand Idol host Dominic Bowden on an American accent for various television projects. Most recently, Rob was on the set of ABC's Revenge, providing dialect coaching to Emily VanCamp (South Boston). He also worked with Katy Sullivan on FX's Legit (Australian). |
Education & Training:Rob earned a BFA in theatre from Webster University's Conservatory of Theatre Arts in St. Louis, where he also performed on the Main Stage of The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis. He received his acting MFA from California State University, Fullerton. Rob also coaches actors, directs, writes and performs comedy, and continues to audition. He has appeared in a number of commercials, theatre productions and films. |
