The Susan Giosa Acting Workshop in Santa Monica, CA is a highly respected acting studio that teaches a unique emotional technique. Ms. Giosa, an award-winning actress, created her studio and has taught for over 20 years. “For all levels”, but geared toward actors who strive to be professional, classes focus on intense emotional work, script analysis, scene study, improv, and audition techniques. Susan’s unique class, Freeing Your Emotional Core, is helpful to all artists, actors, dancers, singers, and writers because it teaches the individual how to overcome their “fear of judgment”, “connect quickly to their emotional core”, and be “freer in their bodies”. The Susan Giosa Acting Workshop is the only studio that teaches actors how to use “emotional release objects” truly “On Cue”, which is an invaluable tool for actors in booking work. Susan also offers two levels of Scene Study class, one in the day at the Santa Monica studio and one in the evening in Culver City, and an Audition class for Film and TV taught in 4-week cycles.

Skills Summary:

I teach because I am passionate about my craft. I am an award-winning stage actress and teach because I am also a working actress. You would not learn to dance from a teacher who does not dance so why learn to act from someone who is not an actor. Learn from a master.

Employment History:

I have been teaching acting and coaching for almost 20 years both in LA and NY. Being a working actor for 30 years I have created a unique warm-up for the actor and unique emotional exercises. I hold a Master's Degree in Drama Theater, also studied at RADA in London and trained extensively with renowned acting teacher, Larry Moss. My goal is to mentor and guide actors to not only have great craft but to have professional careers in the truly competitive world of show business.
